NaturalMotion is best known for its manly gridiron Backbreaker franchise, yet it's set to gallop (I apologise) onto the App Store with a decidely less macho equine simulation game called My Horse.

As you can probably imagine, My Horse will (sorry, again) saddle you with the responsibility of looking after a nag full-time, i.e. feeding it, grooming it, riding it, and entering it into gymkhanas.

There'll also be plenty of in-app purchases to tempt your wallet / purse out of hibernation, such as decorations for your horsey.

According to NaturalMotion's chief executive Torsten Reil, gamers who had access to the title's limited beta were willing to splash between $150 and $300 on these virtual goods.

Take the horse by the reins

As you can see from the screenshot in our gallery above, My Horse is packing some pretty nifty graphics. Not a huge surprise, I grant you, given the jaw-dropping visuals witnessed in the studio's Backbreaker series.

Every horse in the game is said to move independently, meanwhile, meaning no two fillies will look or act the same.

My Horse will canter (I know, I know, I can't help myself) onto the App Store in the next few days, so trot on over and keep an eye out for it.
