Ubisoft confirms My Dog Coach game for DS

Cesar Millan will help you deal with dog 'issues'

Ubisoft confirms My Dog Coach game for DS

A couple of months back, we brought you news Ubisoft could be about to publish a dog coaching game after information on such a title emerged on Australia's version of the BBFC site.

The game was called My Dog Coach: Understand Your Dog with Cesar Millan, but it wasn't clear then which formats the title would be released on (although we speculated DS) or whether it would see a worldwide release.

Now Ubisoft has answered these pressing questions. Yes, the game will be published on DS (as well as PC) and yes, it will be released worldwide and here in Europe this autumn.

The game has been developed alongside Cesar Millan, the 'charismatic host' (we've never heard of) of Sky Three's Dog Whisperer. He has apparently worked as a dog behaviour expert for over 20 years, so is more than capable of sorting the alpha males from the bitches.

Owners of wayward canines will be pleased to hear the game will help owners understand how their dogs' minds work and, using Cesar's guidance, they'll be confronted with 40 different common dog 'issues'. We're guessing it's things like crapping on the kitchen floor when you go out and trying to hump your friends' legs when they visit.

"Ubisoft's team has done an amazing job turning the 'Power of the Pack' methodology into an interactive experience. The game is easy to play and offers many fun ways to learn rehabilitation techniques that can be applied to dogs in the real world," Cesar Millan himself said while handing the publisher a treat to munch on. He then returned to training a border collie using an electric cattle prod and a lot of shouting. Presumably.

We'll have more on My Dog Coach nearer its release in the autumn. Click 'Track It!' if your pooch keeps piddling on your bed (when you're in it) and we'll keep you up to date on the game.
