After tackling fat people and anyone who smokes, Ubisoft turns a ruthless eye to our pets

Ubisoft set to publish DS dog training game?

It seems there's no stopping Ubisoft and its quest to publish as many casual games which aren't actually games as possible. It's done weight loss and it's doing Allen Carr's stop smoking plan.

Now it's publishing a game designed to help dog owners transform their dogs from unruly postman chasers into well behaved pooches – all with a little help from Cesar Millan.

No, we've never heard of him either.

Listed on Australia's version of the BBFC site – the OFLC – (and picked up by GoNintendo) is My Dog Coach: Understand Your Dog with Cesar Millan, which has been submitted by Ubisoft for rating.

The game is down as a multi-platform one, but it would seem to have DS written all over it.

The man heading up the game, Cesar Millan, is described (on his website) as Dr Phil for dogs, and stars in the TV programme Dog Whisperer shown on National Geographic. He's apparently known for his "uncanny ability to walk large packs of dogs at a time". Which doesn't sound too difficult if you have enough leads, but they do include dogs which he's cured of "red zone" aggression so that's perhaps a bit more impressive.

Anyway, the game might interest any of you out there with an unruly canine you can't get off the sofa. The rest of you will probably be rolling your eyes and wondering what Ubisoft is going to come up with next. We can't wait. Honestly.

We'll keep those of you who care posted should My Dog Coach be confirmed for DS and for Europe.
