We knew it was coming as part of another wave of OpenFeint-backed new releases and updates, but the appearance of Mediatonic’s Must.Eat.Birds on Android warrants a news piece of its own.

“The worlds first ever picnic defence simulator” is a lovable mixture of Angry Birds’s catapult-based aggression, Doodle Jump’s vertical pinging and Katamari’s character-swelling Japanese zaniness.

The idea is to ping your nomsters into the air to chow down on the birds that are parachuting in to nick your cupcakes.

It was something of a cult hit on iPhone, so we’re looking forward to getting our teeth into the Android version, which is available on the Android Market for 59p/93c.

Keep your eyes peeled for our review.
