After almost three years of service, the current iTunes and App Store design is rumoured to be receiving an overhaul later this year.
According to 9to5Mac, Apple will make iTunes and its various sections a more "engaging experience" with the emphasis of the redesign on speed, efficiency, and simplicity.
iSee
If the rumour is true, the unveiling of a redesigned iTunes in the autumn is not beyond the realms of possibility, especially given Apple's tendency toward music-themed iPod / iTunes events around that period.
Given the recent shenanigans on the App Store free games chart, we'd expect Apple to be focused on improving how the most popular games are displayed, too, although that's likely just wishful thinking on our part.
What would you guys like to see improved? Let us know in the comments below (not you, spambots, you can stay out of this one).
Ummm, everything? iTunes is one of the worst user experiences of any piece of software. Apple should be ashamed of themselves.

There is a wish list if you use iTunes to view the AppStore. It even totals the value of the apps you have saved, so you can download them all at once if needed.

Ive always hated the layout of iTunes as new things such as apps have been added they've been bodged into the system, games sub genres for example are hidden down in the bottom right. that all needs clearing up.
Id like to see Apps and games separated on the menu bar in iTunes and on the iPhone, also on the iPhone I would like to get rid of the top 25 its always the same titles anyway and have it replaced with the top grossing, but at the same time make sure that games like surfs and farmville with virtually currency don't hog that chart, it would be interesting to see what getting rid of the top 25 would do to the price point sweet spot :)

Im not seeing any wish list so to say via itunes....its too bad. Seems like a no brainer to me. I cant tell you how many times ive come acroos an app that i couldnt either afford or just wanted to save it for later. I agree with Excel... as well. Needs an overhaul. Also needs a banner area for relatively unknown apps and it should vary/change every day not weekly...

I constantly find, either through Pocketgamer or magazine reviews, some pretty good apps and games that dont show up on the charts. They should find some way to get these relative unknowns featured on the page, as I agree with previous comments, most of the "Top" games are the same old titles
