The EU PlayStation Blog has revealed that both WipEout HD and its nastier sister Fury will be heading to the PS Vita as DLC for WipEout 2048 in the spring.

Both games will be free to those that already own the PS3 versions.

WipEout HD and Fury are considered to be two of the best editions of everyone's favourite anti-gravity racing series (no talking, F-Zero fans), containing classic tracks from the PSP editions of WipEout, as well as additional Zone modes that introduce mines and cannons into the mix.

WipEout 2048 already comes with a limited selection of four tracks from WipEout HD for cross-platform play at launch, allowing Vita owners to compete against their PS3 friends online. This, however, is the first we've heard of both games heading to the device in their entirety.

WipEout 2048 will be released for the PS Vita on February 22nd.
