Steve Wozniak may have co-founded Apple alongside Steve Jobs back in 1976, but he's definitely not a fanboy when it comes to the fruity Cupertino-based company.
In a recent phone interview with the co-author of his autobiography, Gina Smith, and Dan Patterson, Wozniak had high praise for Microsoft's mobile OS.
"I'm kind of shocked. Every screen is much more beautiful than the same apps on Android and iPhone," the Apple II creator stated. He also said that using Windows Phone is like interacting "with a friend, not a tool".
According to Wozniak, there's just "no contest" between Windows Phone and Google's cumbersome Android operating system. Microsoft's effort even outperforms Apple's "more awkward" iOS.
Still, in spite of his comments, the iPhone 4S remains the Apple co-founder's favourite smartphone.
I really like the speed and stability of the latest Windows Mobile OS too. After playing with the Lumina 900 and Galaxy Note at work for awhile, you definitely see the lag in the Android OS compared to the really speedy Windows phone and with my iPhone as well. Android is a hell of a lot more buggy also, noticing a bit of hang ups and a lot more app crashes with Android as well. Plus to boot out of the 3 OSs, Android isnt nearly as smooth or intuitive. The only thing Android really has going for it is it's great customization and people can get a lot of cheap and free phones with Android on it, hence it's popularity.
Went from Android to iPhone, and after playing with the Lumina 900 for a bit, I might end up switching to a Windows phone. It has the most beautiful interface, really intuitive, speedy OS, stable, and fun to use...definitely can't say the same for Android. Liking my iPhone at the moment, but I might switch if the iPhone 6 this year doesn't have at least a 4 inch screen.
