Digital Legends has unveiled a teaser trailer (posted below) for its latest mobile title The Respawnables at a gaming event over in Barcelona.
Speaking at mobile dev conference Gamelab 2012, Digital Legends co-founder Xavier Carrillo ended his presentation on the future of gaming with a sneak peek at his company's latest game.
The trailer begins with a pair of gun-toting soldiers strolling into frame. One shoots the other, and the dying soldier shuffles off this mortal coil by way of a comedy pratfall.
The survivor is quickly joined by numerous other soldiers who proceed to do what soldiers do best: empty their weapons into the nearest fleshy mass.
If the trailer is anything to go by, the game will adopt a tongue-in-cheek tone similar to Team Fortress 2, with the gung-ho weapons fetishism of obvious cinematic inspiration The Expendables.
No platforms have been confirmed yet, but given the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 dev's track record, we'd expect to see The Respawnables materialise on iOS soon, with a version for Android also a distinct possibility.
Check out the trailer for The Respawnables below in the meantime.
