[UPDATE] The End looking to outrun Temple Run on iOS tomorrow, Android later in year
Running out on time
It's the end of the world, civilisation is in ruin, cities are derelict. A perfect opportunity, then, to engaging in a spot of 3D running in a similar vein to Temple Run.
Goroid's new iOS title, The End, doesn't appear to mess much with Imangi's winning formula, for the game consists of your running down paths, collecting coins, and taking 90-degree turns.
It's set in the urban jungle - rather than a literal one - with your desperate character dashing over stricken police cars and the odd pool of lava. A normal day's commute, then, really.
And I feel fineIn The End, there are power-ups to earn, an original soundtrack to listen to, and "more than 100 levels" to complete, which suggests a pre-defined route rather than the randomness of Temple Run.
You can check out the slick trailer for The End below. The End (official App Store name = TheEndApp, by the way) will be dashing onto the UK and US App Stores from midnight tonight, priced at nothing.
