Welcome back to Pocket Gamer's round-up of the latest iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad mid-week releases.

As you all probably know by now, we produce this article each week because we're simply too busy to bring you a story on every single new game that hits the App Store.

These games have recently hit Apple's New Zealand outlet, meaning they should be available to download in the UK and US from around midnight this evening.

If you think you can compete against some of the most buff, burly, and powerful men in the universe, get your dusty leotard out of the cupboard and take The World's Strongest Man for a spin.

Your rags to riches career involves lots of training, making tough decisions that could "make or break" you, and competing in several real-world events.

iPad-only Cubemen

Cubemen is a tower defence title with a twist. For starters, there are no static towers, so your defences can be moved to various locations during battle.

Secondly, you can play a two-way match against the computer or other players from around the world in real time, across 22 Skirmish levels.

There are also a further 28 Defense levels to tackle.

Streetbike: Full Blast HD

Streetbike: Full Blast HD allows you to race "a ton" of motorcycles against the clock and other budding speed freaks, across nine different leagues.

Each of the game's courses is jam-packed with traffic, so you'll have to quickly weave in and out of it if you want to stay on your bike long enough to earn fame and fortune.

Universal Violet Storm

According to its App Store description, Violet Storm offers "pure, intense, unabashedly over-the-top, non-stop action - rendered in fantastic glowing-neon".

Basically, you have to go toe-to-toe with 25 different varieties of enemy ships, which come at you in waves of ever-increasing difficulty. There are three game modes.

Rinth Island

Rinth Island is a puzzle game at heart. Your aim is to traverse a 3D island, drop from platforms, climb ladders, and find the right path to the exit of the game's 60 stages.

You can play through each stage in four different ways.

Once you've completed the game, you can design your own levels using the in-game editor and share them with other players from around the world.

Gnu Revenge
