Thunder Game Works, creator of the popular 1.7 million selling tower defence game, Trenches, has some new ideas up its sleeve.
Up first is Trenches HD, a super-sized edition of the iPhone game built specifically for the iPad.
Using an expanded battlefield, an overhead minimap, an action feed (which clues you in on new events unfolding) and a military adviser (a helping hand that will instruct you on strategies), the tablet’s gorgeous display allows for far more new content than a simple high resolution iPhone port.
If you’re tired of gunning down enemy soldiers, how about tackling an army of the shuffling undead? In Stenches, a kooky spin-off of Trenches, you use your strategic wit and cunning to take down an endless plague of zombies on your iPhone.
The game uses interactive environments, zombie bosses and plenty of game modes, including a campaign and skirmishes, to keep the Trenches formula fresh. The developer also hinted that you might be able to play as zombies somewhere down the line, as well as co-op gameplay.
Trenches HD for iPad and Stenches for iPhone and iPod touch have no release dates, but both are well underway at Thunder Game Works. (Stenches shown above, click here to check out the screenshot for Trenches HD.)
