First Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 info speeding into view on December 29th

It's been over a year since Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 sped onto the App Store, and during that period, news of an Episode 2 from Sega has been non-existent.

Well, now, it's 'existent'.

Sega's Sonic 4 brand manager Ken Balough penned a riddle for Sonic fans on Sega's official forums yesterday, which hints at a Sonic The Hedgehog 4: Episode 2 announcement on December 29th.

Here's Balough's message in full:

"If you’re an Episode II fan
I would go back to where the Sonic 4 Campaign first began
In a month filled with presents and Christmas hams
think of the day, the HMS Warrior first swam"

Confused?

A month filled with presents and Christmas hams is obviously December.

We're not quite sure what the HMS Warrior, the first iron-hulled, armour-plated warship built for the Royal Navy, has to do with a speedy blue hedgehog, but we do know that it was launched on December 29th.

Easy when you know why.
