Help keep Sir Steve Redgrave out of a crocodile's tummy in Moshen's upcoming iOS adventure

Remember that time Olympic gold medallist Sir Steve Redgrave rowed down a river collecting floating 24-carat nuggets, all the while avoiding the snapping jaws of hungry crocodiles?

No, us neither. Still, that hasn't prevented British dev Moshen from producing an iOS game built around that exact premise.

Judging from the beta footage (shown below), Sir Steve Redgrave's River Adventures (SSSRA) is essentially an aquatic spin on the increasingly saturated endless-runner genre.

Row, row, row your boat

Though the ancient stone structures dotted along the game's riverbanks call to mind Temple Run's environments, SSRRA's controls appear to have more in common with FlickPig's three-lane system than Imangi's tilt-operated sensation.

Rather than gain a star rating for each stage you conquer, you will be rewarded with - you guessed it - a bronze, silver, and gold medal. How topical.

If you fancy dipping your toe in Moshen's water, Sir Steve Redgrave's River Adventures will be splashing onto the App Store later this month in freemium form.
