Pick up your jaw. This is your first look at Real Racing 3
Best to be redefined
I'll confess that I thought the acquisition of PocketGamer.biz's top mobile developer for 2010 - Firemint - by EA could have been game over for the Australian super developer.
It's certainly been very quiet in the meantime, even given that it's recently joined up with fellow EA-owned Melbourne-based developer IronMonkey, neatly creating new company Firemonkeys.
Now, however, we know what it's been doing all that time.
Real Racing 3....
Console qualityThe short video footage is labelled as being 'pre-alpha' - whatever that means.
We assume it means that there's plenty of scope for improvement, although the game is due out in 2012.
In terms of details, Firemonkeys is highlighting its access to the Porsche brand - something it gets via EA - although vehicles from Audi and Dodge (amongst others) will also feature.
You get to race against 21 other cars, and there will also be - for the first time - licensed tracks, including Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Silverstone.
Firemonkeys also states that "Real Racing 3 is set to deliver a rich, next-gen racing experience with the most beautiful and authentic circuit racing available on mobile devices".
You can fine out more details via the game's Facebook page.
Frankly, we can't wait.
