Pocket Gamer is looking for interns for up to three months' experience working on the production of leading games and technology websites and magazines.
This is an unpaid role that would suit a university candidate looking to gain valuable experience in the media industry.
Successful candidates will be able to work alongside and learn from a team with over 50 years of combined experience at the top level of newsstand and contract magazines and websites; get an understanding for the production process; and genuinely contribute to the running of live projects.
No experience of publishing is necessary: we simply require good organisational and personal skills, a high standard of written English, and preferably an interest in technology and games.
The successful candidate will see his or her writing published alongside some of the UK's most experienced video game journalists. The candidate must be able to confidently work within a team environment, while showing initiative when needed.
Email Jez Bridgeman on jez [at] steelmedia.co.uk or send your CV and covering letter to:
Steel Media Ltd, The House, Kelston Park, Bath, BA1 9AE for details.
Send over examples of your work, the reasons why PG should hire you, and your fields of expertise in portable gaming. Good luck!

@fett42,
Unfortunately, due to your being based in US and our being based in the UK, it wouldn't be sensible for us from a logistical perspective to accept you onto our internship programme.
Please keep reading our site, though!

Do you have to attend or can you apply to just write Xperia Play game reviews for the website?

So does that mean that this offer is open to people in other countries as well? Just asking because I live in the United States. I will be going into the game design course of study this coming fall. I'm definitely interested in the experience. I was also in the top of my college class for English 110 and English 111. So I have that area covered.
