News, reviews, and tips
If you’re a publisher, developer, PR person, or even a reader with a useful bit of news you think we should publish, don’t hesitate to get in touch and tell us about it. Here’s a list of email addresses to use and, beneath that, the relevant people on the team.
Pocket Gamer covers iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone, DS, 3DS, PSP, PS Vita, and all other smartphone platforms - hardware and software. We're also interested in general gaming news.
Please note that emails to one member of the team may be shared with other members of the team. No emails will be shared with outside parties.
And please bear in mind that we get hundreds of emails a day. It's just not possible to reply to all of them, but we do our very best.
General advice for PR
If you're looking for coverage, the most important thing is to make an interesting game. Assuming you've got that covered, you can improve your chances of being noticed by following the steps below when you email us.
- Make sure you
include trailers, screenshots, and relevant information.
-
Send us promo codes BEFORE your game goes live on the App Store. Don't worry - we won't publish reviews until the day the game goes live in the UK. It just helps us to get our reviews ready for launch days.
- If
Pocket Gamer or one of our beloved rivals has already covered one of your games it's a good idea to
remind us and include a link to the story.
-
Don't be afraid to name drop and tell us about any significant industry experience. If your best friend and mentor is Shigeru Miyamoto or you worked on Big Console Game X, that could be what makes your email stand out from the dozens of others we get on a given day.
-
Write an interesting email. It sounds obvious, but no matter how good your game is if you send us an email ignoring all of the above advice there's a very good chance we'll miss it.
And it doesn't end with the story. If we said something nice about your game or gave it an award at review, feel free to quote us, and get in touch if you want a copy of the award graphic to use on your site or promotional materials. A nod from
Pocket Gamer could be what you need to get your game noticed by consumers or other sites.

I remember when pocket gamer was a print magazine, I always was eager to see the latest magazine. back then, it was game boy games only
and later the psp came into the picture. I was very sad to find out the mag was no longer published but then I found this site last year so this is absolutely great!!!!

The unsubscribe link at the bottom of your 'Daily Update' email is broken and leads to an empty page! It went to my spam folder which is where it belongs since there is no unsubscribe link.
I have you in my RSS reader and read all the posts, I don't want this damn email update and you need to let me unsubscribe or you violate Canadian and US law.

Hello Mr. Hearn,
I'm interested in SilverTree Media games, PocketGamer Silver awards Cordy and Sleepy Jack, and thanks for your reviews! (Thought Sleepy Jack deserves gold, but maybe you thought they like Silver better...) I did want to "track this," and pressed that red button, thinking I'd be alerted...the reverse has happened--it takes me to the unsubscribe link and politely informs me I've been taken off your list!
Thanks again for the great reviews.
