Lead an unstoppable conga line of heroes into battle in NimbleBit's upcoming Nimble Quest
and Pocket Planes
developer NimbleBit has finally lifted the lid on its forthcoming iPhone and iPad title, which - as you may or may not remember - it teased for the first time last Halloween.
The once-mysterious game is called Nimble Quest
, and it's slated to be released sometime in the next few months. Not long to wait, then.
Details are still pretty scarce, but NimbleBit has
revealed that your aim in Nimble Quest
is to guide an unstoppable conga line of brave heroes into battle against hordes of vicious enemies.
You do this across an unlimited number of stages by swiping your device's screen in the direction that you want your battle-hardened party of explorers to travel.Pick it up along the way
Each of Nimble Quest
's stages isn't just crammed with enemies, though.
There are plenty of power-ups, as well as pieces of loot that you can spend on new characters and upgrades, scattered around, too.
Said power-ups will come in extremely useful when you join your very own guild and compete against other players from around the world in special time-limited Guild Quests.
If you complete these Quests, fame, fortune, and a spot on the game's leaderboards are there for the taking. Promise.
Now, we know what you're thinking.Nimble Quest
looks and sounds a little like Magic Cubes's Call of Snakes
, which marched onto the App Store in June 2012.
You're not wrong. NimbleBit's forthcoming title was directly influenced by
this Bronze Award-winning game.
In fact, one of the studio's co-founders, David Marsh, has admitted on Twitter that Nimble Quest
's basic rules and control scheme were "inspired" by Magic Cubes's popular Snake
So, yeah, you can put that pitchfork back in your shed. Thanks.Touch Arcade
