Redford's get set for Mega Run's May 30th iOS release

Get Set Games has announced a May 30th release date for its new platformer Mega Run, which will be an iOS exclusive title at launch and is the spiritual successor to its massively popular Mega Jump.

We first saw Mega Run back in March, after its public unveiling at the Game Developer’s Conference.

The bright cartoon graphics from the trailer grabbed our attention, and since that time several details about what players can expect have surfaced.

The core gameplay of Mega Run will be the classic platformer with the game spanning dozens of levels across four distinct worlds.

Although the story revolves around signature character Redford, Mega Run will also feature seven other playable folk, including the cast of Mega Jump.

Players can customise these characters with power ups such as jetpacks, fireballs, and the Embiggenate power collected along the way.

Similar to Mega Jump, Mega Run will feature full integration with OpenFeint and Game Center achievements allowing players to compete with friends and earn bragging rights across the world.

Additionally, Get Set Games promises that players can look forward to free updates with new worlds, stages, characters and other goodies.
