LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias heading to iOS

UK-based developer Frontier tipped its hand as to what players can expect from the newly announced sequel LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, due out on the iOS soon.

The highly anticipated sequel to 2011's mobile port of LostWinds features dynamic lighting, changing seasons, and subtle visual effects that one would expect from a console-based game.

These immersive graphics will no doubt help players enjoy the puzzle platforming gameplay that made LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias a hit on the Wii.

LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias is the sequel to Frontier’s LostWinds, and was originally released on WiiWare in 2009.

Both console games earned critical acclaim, and the December 2011 port of LostWinds to the App Store has garnered an equal amount of praise despite initial complaints about its iOS controls.
Based on Frontier's fast patching on LostWinds and the graphics seen in the video below, fans of puzzle platformers have every right to be giddy about LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias.
