Arguably the biggest news from the OnLive rollout today is that L.A. Noire, Rockstar and Team Bondi’s critically-acclaimed 1940s detective drama, will be arriving with optimised touch controls.

L.A. Noire puts you in the shoes of war hero Cole Phelps (played by Mad Men's Aaron Staton) as he climbs up the police career ladder, solving murders, and pointing at random beer bottles near crime scenes.

The title caused a bit of a stir on its release on Xbox 360 and PS3 earlier in the year. This was mainly thanks to its scary Motionscan technology that allowed a role call of top actors' faces to be accurately mapped and every slight movement in the face replicated for the characters in the game.

L.A. Noire is among 25 games that have been confirmed as being optimised for tablets. The rest of the 200 titles in the service's library currently require the companion Bluetooth controller to operate, which is due to be released soon in both the UK and USA for £39.99 and $49.99, respectively.

As with all OnLive titles, if you've already purchased the game on PC or mini-console, then it will be available to play on the tablet as well, and saved games are shared between the systems.
