Kill the Droid! has hit the App Store, perhaps in retaliation for some of the anti-Apple wares you'll find on the Android Market.

The name of the game - quite literally - is to kill as many copies of Android's green mascot as you can.

The gameplay isn't particularly high brow: Droids descend from the top of the screen, and you simply tap 'em to zap 'em. Miss four and it's game over.

A bit like Whac-A-Mole or Duck Hunt, then, except, of course, on this occasion you're destroying an operating system years behind iOS and Windows Phone. Just kidding. C'mon.

Kill the Droid! is available worldwide for iPhone, and will set you back 69p / 99c / €0.79.
