Sega has announced that Dreamcast classic Jet Set Radio will now also be heading to both iOS and Android.
The game is widely regarded as one of the best titles available on the doomed Sega console, featuring a vibrant 3D world, cool-as-heck soundtrack, and unique platform/exploration gameplay that revolved around 'tagging' various locales with graffiti.
No particularly interesting extra features have been announced for the iOS and Android versions of the game (you can use pictures with your phone's camera as graffiti), so we'd expect the game to be a straight port of the original title, albeit with higher resolution graphics.
Jet Set Radio will be out on iOS and Android later this summer.
Awesome. Hopefully it will be Xperia Play optimised. For that matter Carmageddon better be too! In the latest issue of Retro Gamer it states the mobile version of Carma 1 was "recently released" so it is hopefully imminent.

As good as it is, too be having this on mobile, there seems to be a growing trend of re-releasing old games on IOS/ Android rather than new original titles. I mean I loved replaying Max Payne & GTA III and I'm looking forward to Baldurs Gate. There just seems to be a growing trend of companies making or rereleasing games that minimise effort to make and maximise profit.

Almost as awesome as when I first heard they're re-making Carmageddon
