With its sequel arriving next week, the price of Chair’s iOS epic Infinity Blade has been slashed from £3.99/$5.99 down to £1.99/$2.99.

The game sees you exploring the murderous God King’s castle and taking on a variety of his monstrous followers in one-on-one combat.

Wielding a sword and shield, you use precision swipes of the touchscreen to take down your enemies, with parries, blocks, and magical attacks to tip the odds in your favour.

RPG elements allow you to level-up your abilities and gain XP for your gear. It’s a compelling blend, and one that saw Infinity Blade awarded our coveted Gold Award when we reviewed the game last year.

Infinity Blade 2 is just around the corner, promising a much more expansive environment to explore, three distinct combat styles to choose from, and the introduction of ‘Clash Mobs’, in which you take on powerful monsters alongside thousands of other players.

Infinity Blade 2 is set to hit the App Store on December 1st. If you’re itching for more details on Chair’s sequel, then you can check out our interview with the studio’s creative director for all the latest details.
