You're probably used to seeing Infinity Blade on sale following some kind of mega update, but the graphical blockbuster appears to have been slashed in price for no discernible reason.

Still, we're not one to argue, and when a Pocket Gamer Gold Award-winning title receives a price cut, we recommend you head out and pick it up.

If you're unfamiliar with Infinity Blade, it tasks you with avenging your father's death by finding and destroying the evil God King.

Naturally, it's not as easy as I've just made it sound, and you'll first have to traverse courtyards and dungeons while battling your target's vast array of minions.

Thankfully, you have dozens of swords, shields, armours, and helmets at your disposal, and the ability to dodge, block, and cast magical attacks.

Sucker punch

When you've mastered the game's single-player campaign, or you're just tired of having your arse handed to you on a plate, you can bully some of your buddies in a multiplayer match, or attempt to survive the shrewdly named Survival mode.

There are even Game Center leaderboards and achievements on board in case avenging your father's death just isn't enough glory for your liking.

Infinity Blade can be picked up from the App Store as a Universal app for £1.99 / $2.99 / €2.39.

We presume it will return to £3.99 / $5.99 / €4.99 some time in the near future.
