Infinity Blade, the action role-playing game developed by Epic Games subsidiary ChAIR, will be released on December 9th.
In a quest to defeat the imposing God-King, the game takes you through a gorgeously rendered castle fighting enemies with swipes of a finger.
Experience earned from combat can be used to augment your attributes and enhance your equipment, as well as acquire new weapons and armour.
Cutting edge
Multiplayer via Game Center will complement the single player campaign, although how it's structured has yet to be revealed. We do know that head-to-head battles online will figure in somehow.
The iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad title will be offered as a universal app, allowing you to download a single file and then install the game on any compatible Apple device.
ChAIR made clear in its announcement today that only newer handsets are supported: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch (third- and fourth-generation), and iPad. Unfortunately, older iPod touch and iPhone handsets won't be supported.
Infinity Blade will be available for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on December 9th at a price of £3.99/$5.99.
Basically, what Yoof said.
How much candy do we need?
Time for some MEAT in the gameplay. If this is just a spruced up Fruit Ninja, I will be bored with this as soon as the hype dies down a week later.
I think this game has too much potential to just be the same ole ish over and over again.
