Gaming peripheral maker SteelSeries has revealed its new Ion Wireless Controller, which is designed for PCs and touchscreen devices.

Described as an "ideal accessory" for tablet and phone consumers by its manufacturer and about the same size as a deck of cards, the Ion Wireless Controller connects to your PC and portable devices via Bluetooth, and boasts an impressive 20 hours of gameplay on a rechargeable lithium battery.

The design of the Ion Wireless Controller should sit comfortably with anyone who's picked up a PlayStation DualShock in the past decade.

In addition to its six face buttons, the Ion Wireless Controller features two trigger buttons, a D-pad, and two "mini-joysticks".

The Ion Wireless Controller is due out in Q3 2012. Its pricing has yet to be announced.
