Updated 3rd June: We've added some new cases to keep your iPhone 7 safe into the summer.

The iPhone 7 has been a massive sales success since it launched more than a year ago, and while the iPhone 8 and iPhone X are now on the market, we'll have to wait a while until they're in as many hands as last year's model.

Apple continues to offer the iPhone 7 as new, so it makes sense to round-up of some of the best cases around for it. Needless to say, there's a thriving third-party case ecosystem for the phone.

It's also worth noting that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 have very similar measurements, so cases for one will tend to fit the other.

We haven't directly featured any iPhone 7 Plus examples, because the general rule is that case manufacturers make the same case for both sizes - so treat these as recommendations for both models.

Dockem Sleeve

Here's the thing with cases - they invariably compromise the design and feel of your smartphone. This sleeve offers a low-tech but surprisingly effective solution, protecting your phone in transit while giving you the full naked phone experience.

Speck Presidio Grip

A case that's thin and goes big on protection? That's the ambitious idea with the Presidio Grip, which will keep your iPhone 7 safe from drops of up to 10 feet, but doesn't look like a breeze block. Oh, and as the name suggests, it makes your iPhone very grippy too.

GEAR4 Carnaby

iPhone cases can be a little humdrum and predictable in their design. It's nice when something a bit different appears, like the GEAR4 Carnaby. You get a smart holey design that lets some of Apple's own design magic shine through. Despite this, the case still provides protection against falls of up to 3 metres in height.
