Gameloft hasn't said very much about its forthcoming game for GREE Gang Domination. Which is strange because it's due out on Thursday.

Maybe the reason is that it's in the favourite genre of Japanese mobile gamers - card battler - not something that resonates strongly in the west.

Big in Japan

In terms of information, Gameloft says that you'll lead your gang (of card characters), completing quests and defeating bosses.

You can do this either in single player mode or by grouping up with friends. There will also be a PVP mode - powered by GREE's social platform of course.

Other aspects follow the traditional card battler gameplay with the ability to fuse cards as well as collecting more cards through virtual prize dispensers and in-app purchases.

Not something that floats your boat? Still, at least the card artwork looks awesome.

Available for iOS and Android, Gang Domination will be free-to-play and released on 28th June.
