But is still on the cards for a 2012 release

There was one noteworthy absence from Gameloft's selection of games at this year's E3 - the firm's currently unnamed first Unreal Engine game.

According to the company, however, the fact that the game wasn't shown off at the conference certainly doesn't mean it's gone the same way as Gameloft's previous Unreal-powered title March of Heroes.

Still marching

Instead, Gameloft's unnamed Unreal Engine title has apparently undergone some quite major changes to its gameplay and direction over the past six months, meaning it wasn't in a demonstrable state for journalists this time around.

I couldn't find out what these changes were, but I was told that we're likely to see the game make an appearance a little later in the year.
