Frontier Gunner bringing Monster Hunter-inspired action to Japanese Android and iOS devices later this month

Japanese developer Asobimo has revealed a new four-player co-op action-RPG Frontier Gunner for iOS and Android.

Designed with what looks like fans of Capcom's massively popular Monster Hunter series in mind, Frontier Gunner is a third-person action-shooter in which you're tasked with bringing down towering creatures that threaten to tear down entire cities.

There are guild missions against the clock for you to undertake in order to rank up, which in turn unlocks more destructive/protective equipment to use against the next batch of destructive foes.

Adding to the Monster Hunter-vibe is an online co-op mode that allows up to four players to join forces and take down the giant beasts together.

Frontier Gunner is currently set for a freemium release in Japan later this month. Unfortunately, there's no word on whether this will make it to western shores just yet.
