Management title Football Director transferring to iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 'later this month'

Later this month, Sport Director's classic management title Football Director will dribble its way past two defenders and onto iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows Phone.

Football Director, which debuted on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum back in 1986, will arrive boasting four English leagues, an additional 11 international leagues, and an abundance of "realistic" teams and players.

Naturally, if you aren't entirely happy with how some of your footy players are performing, you can tell them to pack their boot bag and trade them on the game's "balanced" player transfer market.

As you'd expect from a football-management title, each match you compete in can be played at five different speeds. There's also a "auto-resolve" function should you need to cram 90 minutes of action into a few seconds.

If you decide to splash the cash on Football Director, which includes information from the 2011/2012 season, you'll automatically become eligible to download a free 2012/2013 season update this summer.

Further versions of Football Director for other major mobile and tablet platforms will be released sometime in 2012, alongside a special US-only version of the game entitled Soccer Director.
