PopCap to release new versions of Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies

On the back of its FY12 financial results, EA Mobile has revealed some of its future plans.

Of course, new versions of SimCity and Need for Speed will be released later in the year while - as ever - FIFA 13 is due in September.

More interesting, however, comes the news that there will be new iterations of PopCap franchises such as Bejeweled and Plants vs. Zombies.

EA doesn't say what platforms these will be coming to, but as PopCap pretty much keeps its franchises in step across platforms, we'd certainly expect iOS version to be in the mix.

Other news about the company's releases comes from Nokia.

It's revealed that FIFA, Madden NFL, NBA Jam, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR, Mirror's Edge and Yahtzee will be released for Windows Phone devices, including its Lumia range.
