Mind-bending puzzler Doptrix now available on iOS

Many falling block puzzlers simply copy the iconic Tetris gameplay and fail to add anything new to the genre.

Stanislav Merezhko’s latest game, Doptrix, is not a typical falling block puzzler despite the simple graphics and suspiciously Tetris-shaped blocks.

It is a complete reimagining of the classic falling block gameplay where pieces remain in a fixed position and the board itself must be rotated around them.

Additionally, the familiar time crunch of Tetris is completely absent from Doptrix - players control when and where the pieces will launch onto the board, making this one of the most un-Tetris like falling block puzzle games on the market.

Doptrix was released quietly onto Google Play earlier this year and received numerous positive reviews.

The Android version had only three gameplay modes available (Classic, Alternative, and Puzzle) while the newly-launched iOS version will offer six, adding Reflection, Survival, and Challenge modes to the mix.
