If you watched Apple's keynote at
this year's WWDC event, you'll have probably seen Craig Federighi (Apple's SVP for software engineering) showcase
CSR Racing - a new free-to-play drive-'em-up for the iPhone and iPad from both NaturalMotion and Boss Alien.
Anyway, whether you did or you didn't,
CSR Racing is now available to download from the Cupertino company's App Store.
In
CSR Racing, you jump behind the wheel of cars from the likes of Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, GM, Mini, and Nissan, and compete with street crews across a variety of straight-line drag races.
Outfitting your car with turbos, engine tweaks, new tyres, and other strategic upgrades will help you to beat out your rival drivers. Custom licence plates, paint jobs, and decals won't, but they
will look darn good.
Check out the screenshots in our gallery above to see for yourself just how gorgeous this title looks, and then head on over to the App Store and download it.

I think you *can* work your way through it without paying anything. But paying speeds up the process.

Freemium. Although it's not too bad, tbf - you can unlock the cars with in-game cash, and it locks the faster models out of the lower tier competitions (so someone can't just plonk cash down and 'cheat' their way to to the end of the game)
