Rovio has announced via its Twitter feed and Facebook page that the original feather-flinging Angry Birds outing is about to receive an update.

Titled 'Mine And Dine', the game's sixth episode will see you and your miffed avian take your war against the green swine underground.

Although precise details are scarce, it's safe to assume you'll also be on the hunt for those ever-so-valuable golden eggs.

Mine And Dine has been submitted to Apple for approval, so it should take flight - pun intended - very shortly. There's no information regarding an Android release date yet.

You can grab Angry Birds from the App Store for 59p / 99c / €0.79 or £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99 if you want to play it on your iPad. It's free on the Android Market.
