Manufacturing Tetris blocks of all things...

As mobile game premises go this is about as postmodern as they come. The idea behind Mr Buckethead is that because there are so many Tetris clones out there a factory, imaginatively called the Tetris Stone Factory, has been built to churn out endless streams of coloured Tetris blocks. The problem is, the factory has been badly managed and has fallen into disrepair.

In fact, Mr Buckethead is the only remaining employee and it's his job to get production back up to speed to ensure that the Tetris clone business can stay afloat. Do you follow?

Talk about life imitating games, repeating the game several times over and then poking fun at it in another imitation - or something.

Anyway, in order to keep production ticking over your boss will have you mixing paint by collecting it as it drips out of the leaky pipes, and collecting the stones scattered about the factory so that both can be delivered to the colouring machine.

Besides the four screens we've turned up, that's about all of the factual information we have about the title, with all the evidence pointing towards this being a platform puzzler of sorts.

The cheeky premise is intriguing, though we're not sure how all of the licensing for this is tied up. Still, there's nothing to suggest that developer baby-soft doesn't have the right to use the name Tetris in its game, so with a bit of luck this quirky platformer could be a solid summer release.
