Motorola joins in with the iPhone 4 bashing
Kicking a phone while it’s down
Just like that gobby kid at school whose enemies unite momentarily in order to give him a good kicking, Apple’s iPhone 4 is currently on the end a bit of a group mauling at the hands of its rivals.
Following Samsung’s flurry of jabs into the face of the antennaely challenged iPhone 4, Motorola has jumped into the fray and aimed a solid kick at its groin.
A current advert for their Droid X Android phone features the bold boast “No Jacket Required,” in reference to Apple’s last ditch offering of a free ‘bumper’ to help alleviate its antennae-related woes.
As if that didn’t drive the point home sufficiently, the ad includes the following elaboration:
“At Motorola, we believe a customer shouldn’t have to dress up their phone for it to work properly. That’s why the DROID X comes with a dual antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like to make crystal clear calls without a bulky phone jacket. For us it’s just one of those things that comes as a given when you’ve been making mobile phones for over 30 years.”
Alright guys, break it up, break it up. I think the poor thing’s had enough already, don’t you?
