The Motorola Backflip Android handset is official
As is an Android 2.1 update and Flash 10.1 integration
The Consumer Electronics Show - or CES, to its friends - has already delivered some interesting news on the Google Nexus One and Microsoft's forthcoming tablet. Not to be left out Motorola has officially announced its Backflip phone.
As previously rumored, the Backflip includes a backwards-folding, outwards facing keyboard, 3G connectivity, 'Motoblur', the usual 5 megapixel camera and it's even API-accesible.
When can you get your excited paws on one? It shouldn't be long, as Motorola has announced that the phone will be released to many carriers worldwide, including AT&T for North America, according to BoyGeniusReport.
Motorola also announced that all of its handsets will be updated to Android 2.1, and the Droid will soon feature Flash 10.1 integration - optimised for the Droid's internals.
Rounding off Motorola's rather short announcement list was confirmation of a second maintenance update in the near future for the Droid.
