Motorola Xoom to be released in US on 24th February
Xoom Xoom
The upcoming Motorola Xoom Tegra-powered Android tablet has got a US release date: 24th February.
The Android tablet is the first to ship with the new Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system and the first to equip the new dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset.
The Xoom will come with wi-fi as standard, but a model with 3G support will also be released on US Carrier Verizon Wireless, while the 3G service will even be upgradable to 4G LTE in the second quarter of 2011.
Although Motorola revealed last week which UK retailers would be stocking the Xoom, it hasn't announced a European release date. It's likely to be in the first quarter of 2011, with the 4G upgrade following in the second quarter. Technology Talks
