Motorola has announced which UK shops will be stocking its Xoom Android tablet when it launches later this spring.

The 3G and wi-fi edition will be on sale in The Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy. Motorola hasn’t said which UK networks will be supporting the 3G slate device, but says it will bring the device to “leading carriers and partners in the UK.”

If you don’t fancy 3G, Currys and PC World will sell the wi-fi only version of the tablet.

The Motorola Xoom has a 10.1-inch widescreen display with a 1280x800 resolution and HDMI video out. It’s got a 5-megapixel camera on the back, capable of recording 720p video, and a 2-megapixel camera on the front for video chat.

Under the hood, its dual-core 1Ghz processor joins a built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass and accelerometer.

Yes, a barometer. It helps measure altitude, potentially for more acurate and vertically-aware GPS coordinates.
