Milestone getting FroYo in September
Motorola hasn’t completely forgotten about it after all
European Milestone owners! Stop standing there pitying yourselves, and come over here. We have some good news for you.
O2 Germany today revealed that the Milestone would be getting an update to Android 2.2 (also know as FroYo) in September. The news came via the operator’s Twitter account.
With the Milestone’s successor (known as the Droid 2 in the US) just about ready to burst onto the scene with 2.2 pre-installed, some feared that the Milestone would be forgotten about. Not so, it seems – at least not for German O2 customers.
Hopefully, those of us with unlocked units (which includes every Milestone owner in the UK) and those on other operators will get a taste of FroYo soon too.
