MotorStorm coming to PSP?

GAME listing says it is

MotorStorm coming to PSP?

Even if this were true, we can't we're too excited about it. That's because the last thing PSP needs is another racing game, frankly.

And also because if you are a MotorStorm nut – and there's nothing wrong with that given that it's a very solid and often exciting off-road racing title – why would you stop playing on PS3 and opt for a version that is unlikely to live up to your expectations?

But anyway. A listing on GAME's website for a PSP version of MotorStorm has been spotted by Destructoid.

There are no details with regards to date or price, but there is a game overview (which isn't a copy-and-paste job taken from the PS3 listing), and reads as follows:

"MotorStorm delivers visceral off-road racing, plunging players into a frenzied environment awash with grit, mud and petrol, in a game that leaves the standard rules of racing in the dust. Gone are the limits of power restrictions, limited classes and qualifying rounds. Players simply choose their vehicle from a massive range – including dirt bikes, ATVs, sand rails, rally cars, monster trucks and everything in between – then hit the track in a no-holds-barred sprint to the finish line.

"Carving a swathe of destruction through the ever-changing wilderness, players must compete in a gasoline-fuelled, horsepower spectacle where the only rule is to try and stay alive."

Now, the fact it's listed means close to nothing, of course. There's no guarantee a PSP version is in the making. Then again, it wouldn't shake our wheelnuts to find out one is. Nevertheless, past such incidents of listings turning up on retailers sites have on occasion turned out to be true (the retail sector can get to hear about games before the press) so we'll keep an eye on it.

Not too close, but enough to keep you posted should anything change.
