If your idea of burning rubber involves torturing bath ducks with cigarette burns, please don't read our website.

If, on the other hand, you're a PSP-owning motorbike fan, you may be pleased to hear that MotoGP has just 'gone gold', which is roughly games publisher speak for: "We've got the product finished, let's get it in a box pronto and make some shiny".

Indeed, Namco Bandai has even announced a release date – 26th September – for the American edition of the game, but us European gamers must await further word from MotoGP's UK publisher, Sony.

Billed as the first motorbike racing game on PSP (which seems right according to our PSP racing game archives) MotoGP features famous riders such as Italian legend Valentino Rossi and Spanish veteran Sete Gibernau, as well as the likes of Marco Melandri, Nicky Hayden, Troy Bayliss, Carlos Checa, Alex Barros and Shinya Nakano.

There's also a wireless multiplayer mode that enables up to eight players to race against each other, and unlockable rewards to bust through including a one-on-one mode, hidden riders, and movies.
