Glu Mobile has revamped its popular board-game conversion

Mobile Monopoly gets a makeover

We're big fans of the original mobile version of Monopoly, which has been out for ages. So our silver boots were quivering with excitement when we heard that Glu was planning a sequel.

It's called Monopoly – Here & Now, and it's out, well, here and now. Also, the game's been given a complete revamp and there are new locations, too, including Brick Lane, Camden High Street and Stansted Airport in the UK version (although it's localised for other countries).

There are new pieces, including a RAZR phone, sports car and a Labradoodle. That's right, a Labradoodle. The graphics have been swizzled up, with an isometric board view, there's multiple difficulty modes, and the interface has been smartened up and made more intuitive.

That sounds like a whole bunch of improvements to what was already one of the most popular mobile games here in Europe. Our review code has just landed – click 'Track It!' to be sent a missive when it passes Go.
