T-Mobile UK bets on multiplayer mobile poker
And what's more, players will be wagering real money
It's been a busy week for T-Mobile. Having already announced a deal with Terraplay to launch a connected mobile games community, the operator has now revealed it also plans to launch real money multiplayer poker.
T-Mobile has teamed up with Cecure Gaming to run the service – you may just remember them from our recent interview. Under the deal, T-Mobile users will be able to play poker games based on brands including the World Poker Tour, Poker Million, and Aces Royal.
They'll all be downloadable from a special Cash Games section of T-Mobile's games portal, or by texting POKER to 49014 to receive a link to get the games.
"By working with Cecure Gaming, we are confident that all necessary measures are taken to provide a secure environment for users to have fun and enjoy playing poker on their mobile phone," says Neil Holroyd, UK games and gambling manager for T-Mobile.
