Sony Ericsson's Aino smartphone comes with PS3 Remote Play

It's not quite a PlayStation phone, but Sony Ericsson's Aino touchscreen smartphone does play nicely with Sony's gaming hardware - notably the PlayStation 3.

Specifically, it hooks into the Remote Play features of the console, enabling you to turn your PS3 on and off, browse and control the XMB, and access its internet browser from anywhere in the world.

You can control and access the HD Drive's media content using Aino's wi-fi or 3G connections, too.

And if you're feeling social, you can chat via the PlayStation Network, and access the PlayStation Store to buy and download content onto your PS3.

In order to do this, you need to generate a one-off registration code via your PlayStation 3, which you enter into your Aino.

Aino is also compatible with Sony's free Media Go PC software, so you can convert the music, photos and video on your PC to an appropriate lightweight format and save them onto the phone, which comes bundled with an 8GB SD card.

Aino will be released early October in the UK, with the rest of Europe to follow. Pricing hasn't yet been announced.
