Come and watch the Watchmen on your mobile

We're quite excited about the whole Watchmen thing that's gearing up - cinema, graphic novel rereleases and, naturally, games - and our interest was piqued the other day when we first heard about Glu's forthcoming adaptation.

Well, screenshots have now emerged, and for once a movie tie-in game is looking pretty dynamic and stimulating. Here's how the new, official mobile game site describes the Watchmen's action:

"Play as the stealthy Nite Owl, battling enemies in the gritty streets of New York City, or as brawling anti-hero The Comedian in the sweltering jungles of Vietnam. Use their unique arsenal of weapons and vigilante attacks and follow an original storyline straight from Rorschach's journal."

There's also a miniature gameplay trailer for you to check out on the official site, though you might need super-vision to see it. From what we can tell, however, it looks set to be a pretty rip-roaring, gothic fighter. Awesome.
