Play mobile games on a 62-inch screen... in your eyes!
3 selling Vuzix iWear glasses in the UK
Check that guy in the picture. Want to be as cool as him? You know you do. But how? Sadly, I can't tell you where he got that jumper, but I can tell you about that futuristic thing in front of his eyes.
It's a Vuzix iWear AV920, and it hooks up to any mobile handset with a video-out port (for example, the Nokia N95). The result: a virtual 62-inch screen in front of your eyes, to watch films and play games on.
It's got stereo speakers built in, and promises five hours of battery life. 3 has bagged the exclusive to sell iWear here in the UK, and will be showing them off in its stores, as well as selling them online.
You'll have to pay £199.95 for them, mind, which is not bad value compared to the price of a 62-inch plasma telly, but scorchingly expensive compared to every other mobile peripheral.
I'm wondering what a mobile game looks like when blown up to that size. Hopefully, we'll be getting our hands on the glasses soon to find out.
