Sims 3: Ambitions making a home for itself on Java mobiles
So you wanna be a rock superstar?
The next instalment of The Sims 3 will be arriving in Java mobile town next week, looking to correct the mis-step that was World Adventures by refocusing activities back to the series’ roots.
Rather than just re-release The Sims 3 again, though, Ambitions comes with a host of, ‘prestige’ jobs like Music and Sports that everyone would love to have if they weren’t so badly paid/hard to get into.
Strumming away at a guitar for hours on end will still gain the skills needed to be a top-class guitar player in the game, and you’ll need to make sure your Sim goes to work in time lest he be fired, but careers now also ask for more varied actions to progress, like insulting a crowd at the new Festival area of town.
Elsewhere, there’s a whole new range of furniture from each of the four different ‘classes’ of sim (Music, Art, Sports, Fashion), and a dedicated hobby room in the house for them to relax, chill, and sew some iron-pumping riffs.
We’ll see if The Sims 3: Ambitions ends up a desirable suburb or a downtrodden slum soon.
