Rovio's new mobile game puts you in the boots of a space-soldier
Rovio reckons its latest game, Star Marine, will give you 'the fastest action, the biggest guns, and the scariest things to shoot at on mobile'. That's a promise to make us prick up our ears, for sure.
The game is a tactical shooter, with you playing Sarge, a grizzled Star Marine who's been sent to a stricken battleship, the CSS Tremor.
It's been overrun with aliens, and the rest of your squad are all dead or dying, leaving you to clean up the mess. That'll be where those big guns come in, then.
Along the way, you'll be able to salvage new weapons from your poleaxed colleagues, and use mines and sentry guns to keep your back covered.
The game appears to employ a loose mission-based structure, with new tasks popping up as you progress through the game, and a few surprises along the way.
Star Marine is due out in April, and judging by previous Rovio games like Darkest Fear 3, it should be worth waiting for. Watch the video below for a sneak peek.
